#my own excitement is way too technical to explain in detail plus i won’t wanna doxx myself by sharing too much #so like we figured out a new way to look at gene regulation in a new cell type that’s a lot more physiologically accurate than our previous #one and id been SAYING this to our PI/CEO and now we’re finally upgrading so im so happy about that #we’re about to get INSIGHTS into the immune system babyyyy #one thing on a general level that i find exciting bc my ex roommate has asthma is they figured out a new way to treat it!!#it’s not an inhalation substance but an injectable (antibody 🫶🏻) and it’s really cool bc 1) it’s way more efficient than stuff that’s #currently used and 2) it’s the first advancement on this field in my entire lifetime ! actually the first in 50 yrs #so im looking into that a little bit actually you’ve reminded me i gotta send the article to her she loves science too #thanks for asking i hadn’t even realised id been excited about this until you asked 🥲#oh by the way fun fact did you know if a medicine’s name ends in -ab that means it’s an antibody-based medicine #so like. cetuximab or trastuzumab or whatever else -ab -> it’s an antibody! and thus probably super expensive too though 😖#howeverrrrr part of my job is to figure out ways to make ab production cheaper so 🤞🏼

Was going to return to swtor, but now my regional prices are in euros, and hoo boy, that's a lot of money. The price basically trippled since the last time I subscribed 😐 I just don't know if I like swtor that much. Are the story updates any good even?

yknow it is crazy to think about how much i have been able to improve my quality of life by selling art as a supplementary form of income. like obviously it's a second job and it's taxing but it's also so rewarding to know how much people enjoy my work and how much good it is doing me to like, feel like i can buy snacks at the store. to be able to get takeout every once in a while. like obviously those are extremely minor changes or things most people take for granted but to me it's huge. having berries in the house when they're out of season and more expensive. buying things for CONVENIENCE??! it feels so crazy to me to have such a sense of luxury which i know says more about the bleak feeling of poverty that's followed me around my entire adult life than anything else but i feel so much gratitude that i am afforded these small luxuries at least in part because of people that like my art. not to mention how nice is is to make things consistently again when, prior to 2020, i hadn't made art regularly in almost a decade. anyway. it's cool!

#of course there are extenuating circumstances! i finished my student loans in 2020 with help from family #i moved to a cheaper place in 2020. i get paid more now than i did then; even though i'm only working four days a week #obviously i am not RICH; i cannot afford to live by myself. housing here is crazy. but i can buy MEAT at the STORE #not only do i have SNACKS in the house i also have MULTIPLE KINDS! do you know how crazy that is.#and now of course a lot of it is combatting my wicked sense of guilt for buying anything i dont 'need'. like snacks.#but obviously i still buy them i just make myself feel bad about it for a while first. lmao #i mean i haven't done my taxes for 2023 yet who knows maybe i'll be hit with some big fees and i'll take this all back #but idk you gotta be grateful. anyway i think i'm gonna order pizza later #chatpost #i used patreon money to buy a new desk chair a couple years ago. a NEW one!! not one from the street!

Anyways hi I can't believe this is in my house!!

The case itself is a little broken which is fine I knew about that. What wasn't disclosed is the fact that the booklet with commentary from Yoko Shimomura is pretty damaged and being held together by yellow tape of all things but that's. Okay. I have a PDF of it on my computer and all I really care about is the outward art on it (which is perfectly fine) and the CD itself working.

And when you take the CD out there's a little Mario and Luigi!

I'm gonna go pop this onto my blueray player of all things and make sure it works now ^^

Do toys in neko atsume 2 have a freshness mechanic????

I've noticed whenever I rotate out toys I get more gold fish from them for a while, even if the toy I place down 'isn't as good' as the one before it

Also do worn down toys give less fish even if you repair them?

It seems strange to give an option to rebuy a toy when it costs so much less to repair it

#neko atsume 2 #what made me make this post is putting down the cardboard box and immediately getting 6 gold fish from it even though its a cheaper toy #i guess the rebuy option could be there if you dont like the look of the worn toy #but the gold fish toys cost near nothing to repair relative to their rebuy cost #or at least thats what ive found so far #considering the fact they rebuilt the entire game from the ground up it wouldnt be surprising if the toys worked entirely different #my post
